Sights in Paros

Panagia Ekatontapyliani

You should’n miss visit Panagia Ekatontapyliani. The temple is at the central square of Paroikias behind the mill at the port. The temple was built by Agios Konstantinos and Agia Eleni and was rebuild by Ioustiniano during 6th century cause of fire.

Archaeological museum of Paros

Archaeological museum of Paros hosts exhibits from paros and antiparos. It was built in 1960 and located next to the high school of Paroikias. You can see exhibits from the early Christian years, cycladitic figurines, mosaics and amphorae. There are really remarkably exhibits like the statue of Gorgous which is 1.35cm height and it is in a really good shape and condition.

The valley of butterflies.

It is really admirable that in a cycladitic island there is a really greenery heaven..! The valley of butterflies located in Psichopania area at regional road next to the church of Agio Arsenio protector of the island.

Folklore museum of Paros

In the folklore museum, which is located in Naoussa, exhibits costumes from different areas of the past Greece, including of course collections of the island. In a really nice environment, you can see Greek tradition coming to live with women and men costumes. Photos are taking the visitors to the past time as also the objects islanders used or some still use till nowadays.
